Southern Hospitality

The Futrelle Sisters must band together to save their beloved hometown of Fayro, Texas which is in danger of disappearing. They learn a salsa factory is looking to relocate and a company representative is headed to town on a scouting mission. One of the sisters makes promises that are not to be believed in order to woo the rep to choose Fayro. In fact, she tells them that on the very weekend of the rep’s visit the town happens to be having their biggest celebration of the year. The problem? That’s news to the citizens of Fayro who have to quickly band together to make her promises a reality. The result is a story of small town strength and ingenuity— and a recipe for total hilarity.

Of Moss and Men

Mr. and Mrs. Moss are the proud new owners of an old abandoned inn which they immediately want to restore and turn into a nightclub. Unfortunately, they're so busy overseeing suspiciously inept repairmen that they pay little attention to the local legend that tells of a treasure hidden somewhere on the estate. So when a severe storm develops forcing an unusual assortment of guests to stay the night along with the questionable workers, it doesn't take a genius to guess a murder will take place. With no help available, the hapless hosts take it upon themselves to find out whodunit. Their bumbling incompetence brings about a chain of unexpected events that climaxes in a hilarious ending.

Murder Runs
in the Family

Heather Pallfeather is a modern-day damsel in distress whose stepfather just kicked the bucket. Or did somebody kick it for him? With this crazy family it's hard to tell! To get some straight answers she hires Jack Sparks, a private eye, to act as her fiance and accompany her to the estate for the reading of the will. Sparks thinks himself a pretty shrewd cookie...until the lights go out and he starts to crumble. Throw in the mother who gets lost in her own house, a cousin who's married to a known convict, interchangeable twins, a stepsister who's looking for a fresh neck for lunch, and a butler with the personality of a tongue depressor and it's enough to make Jack think about resuming his old job of writing greeting cards.

Virgil Wins the Lottery

Everyone dreams of striking it rich by winning the lottery except Virgil's wife, Margaret. Margaret thinks it's a waste of money until Virgil wins the $10,000 Lickskillit Lottery. As soon as Margaret and Virgil get the news, Virgil quits his job, they join the posh (well, posh for Lickskillit) social club and overnight start living in high cotton. And then they get more news: They didn't actually win the $10,000 lottery. Shamefully exposed, Margaret and Virgil start eatin' crow and learn that life is good, with or without the winnings, and then they get the biggest surprise of all.

The Poisoned Pen

When movie mogul Mandrake Masterfiend, producer of the schlockiest horror movies in history, invites some of Hollywood's craziest characters to his birthday party, the evening's a killer--literally. That's because he also invites Rona LaMona, the most vicious gossip columnist in the business who writes weekly under the title "The Poisoned Pen," to stir up the pot a bit. Though the actors, designers, and directors of some of Masterfiend's greatest successes enthusiastically reenact some great scenes from his movies, they suddenly find themselves playing suspects when Rona bites off a little more than she can chew of her poisoned pen and dies. Luckily the actress who portrays "Sabrina Slade--Girl Detective" on a weekly television show is on hand to take charge.
